Pudsey Live at Home Scheme

Introduction to Pudsey Live at Home Scheme

Pudsey Live at Home Scheme is a local project providing a range of activities/services to older people living in the Pudsey area.  Through volunteers our scheme provides friendship, help and support to older people who are aged 60 and over who live at home, irrespective of gender, sexuality, disability, ethnic origin, culture and religious beliefs. We encourage our members to regain possible lost confidence and work to enable them to feel part of and valued members of their community, whilst maintaining their independent living.

Celebrating 20 years of Pudsey Live at Home Scheme at St. Andrew's, June 2016

The scheme was launched in 1996, initially offering a weekly friendship group and a befriending service. Over the past few years the scheme has developed and grown in a response to member’s requests and to locally identified need. We currently have 456 members, and 70 volunteers.

Celebrating 20 years of Pudsey Live at Home at St. Andrew's, June 2016

We moved into our new office in January 2015 which is based at 53 Richardshaw Lane, Pudsey.  This office is much larger than our previous one and is much more suited to our needs.  Our activities are held at various locations around Pudsey with the majority held at St Andrew’s Methodist Church, Robin Lane, Pudsey and most are well attended.
